Assist coordinator in any tasks needed distributing snacks, checking attendance, and rosters. Provide extra support for coordinator and students.
Students will have the creative freedom to design books from their own imagination while learning the process of plot structure. They will write/illustrate the story on paper before transferring it to an ebook creator application. These concepts enhance writing ability, creativity, persistence, and resilience.
Students will be presented with enriching science experiments, which will allow them to explore the relevance of science in their world. Students will use hands-on skills as-well as critical thinking to infer, predict, and communicate experimental results in addition to exploring the scientific method.
Students will explore the science of gardening as it teaches them about the unpredictability of mother nature. Through the use of hands-on skills they will learn about the growth process, love of nature, weather, environment and nutrition.
Students will learn the basics of the Spanish language. This class will give students the opportunity to engage in the culture while improving memory, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as well as improving concentration and listening skills.
Students will learn the strategies used in the game of chess that will enrich their critical thinking skills including pattern recognition, strategic thinking, and sportsmanship as well as problem solving abilities.
Students will be presented with grade level appropriate math problems which 11will allow them to explore the relevance of math in their world. Studying math develops critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical thinking.
Students will learn mathematics, science, social studies and English through the concept of inventors and innovation. Through inventions projects students will also develop the essential skills of logical thinking, creative problem-solving, and collaborating.
Students will explore and extend their knowledge in animals and their environment through various art projects.
With the incorporation of art and scientific concepts, students will explore how nature works: through the application of hands-on science techniques through a variety of experiments. These lessons will elevate students' critical thinking skills.
Artsy Science
In authors workshop students will learn about what a comic book is, what the process is in which they are made, and develop their own concept books that enhances imagination, broader vocabulary, presentation, and organization.
This class will offer students an opportunity to build movement competence and confidence while doing an activity. Students will learn the importance of being physically active all while having fun.
This class focuses on being independent, flexible and balance when conducing the routine that follows bars, mats and other equipment. It allows the students to improve their body strength, agility and coordination. Discipline, determination, and dedication are skills that student will be improving on.
Students acquire the knowledge and skills for movement that provide the foundation for discipline, continued social development through physical activity, and access to enjoying a physically active lifestyle.
Students will be learning different drills and techniques as they learn the importance of staying fit and being healthy as well as good sportsmanship. Soccer highlights the importance of teamwork, leadership, and controlling emotions.
This class promotes fitness and healthy lifestyle choices while combating childhood obesity and it related illnesses. Students will develop their running skills, conditioning, and endurance all while having fun. Each grade level has a final goal run to try to accomplish within a certain amount of time.
Students will be learning different drills and techniques as they learn the importance of staying fit and being healthy as well as good sportsmanship. In addition Tennis enriches coordination and strategical skills.

This practice involves specific movements, meditation and breathing which promotes mental and physical well being. Yoga teaches skills of discipline and reduces challenging behaviors by providing a physical outlet for students to express themselves.
The students will practice creating a variety of arts and crafts projects. They will use hands on skills to work on their fine motor skills, while extending their thinking across multiple intelligences.
Students will learn the value of eating healthy well-balanced meals. They will have the hands on knowledge to make better eating choices for a healthy lifestyle.
This class is an opportunity for students to practice their social skills and enhance public speaking skills through improv games. Students will be encouraged to let their imagination run wild and harness their creativity
Students will learn many different subjects about photography, cameras, how to develop photos, and jobs in this field. They will learn about different emotions and how to convey and capture them. With the use of an interdisciplinary approach students will develop basic skills of attention to detail, communication, and creativity.
These lessons are designed to introduce students to the sewing machine. Students will explore and learn about a variety of fabrics. They will observe how to manage the machine applying what they learn to each sewing class. Sewing improves dexterity, fine motor skills, plus technical skills.
Students will take a “hands-on” approach on how to count for a whole-note, half-note, quarter-note, and eighth-note by clapping out the number of beats in a note. Though auditory senses students will be able to demonstrate the length of time a note must be held based on the symbol.
Students will learn introductory drumming skills. They will cover how to sit, holding drum sticks, basic coordination drills, easy rhythms and playing as a group. The goal of the class is for students to create a basic beat/rhythm of their own.
The students will learn the basics of guitar. They will explore different guitar types, learn to play basic melodies, and the history of guitars. Learning to play the guitar will enhance the student’s memory, attention, coordination and concentration.
Piano class will offer students a chance to learn basic keyboard techniques and posture. In addition to learning to read music students will improve their concentration, memory, and coordination.
This class involves using technology to complete tasks such as navigating through apps. Students will create different projects such as music videos, trailers, newscast, and many other fun filled school projects. It allows for students to develop critical thinking skills, encourages teamwork, and digital literacy.
This class provides the students an opportunity to understand and follow simple concrete commands with visual prompts. Robotics is a great way to get kids excited about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) topics. Studies show that it is highly effective in developing team-work and self-confidence.
The students will learn to create and edit movie projects in iMovie. This class enriches technical skills, photography skills, dexterity while also exploring students’ creative natures through video production.
Students will learn the basics of audio engineering through the application Auxy. Once the students become familiarized with this application they will create their own songs. Communication, active listening, problem solving, and organization are skills developed in this class.
The students will be introduced to creating video games. Students will progressively learn formats and techniques that go into creating video games. It allows the students to expand their writing and creative skills.
Students will work on computers to test and conduct codes to make a software function properly. They will create instructions that a computer can follow so it can manage the tasks that it is given. This class allows students to use critical thinking, mathematical skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
The students will learn how to stay on beat together as a group and explore choreography and terminology. The instructor will teach the students how to do a specific dance by using their entire body. This class highlights the important skills of teamwork, accountability, and creativity.
Students will perform movement phrases using a range of body actions. This class will teach student confidence, increase mental stamina, and improve memory retention.
Students will learn how to step by using their hands and feet creating beats and rhythm. This class will enrich memory skills, coordination, and concentration.
The students will learn about cheering techniques and chants while doing fun mind-stimulating activities. They will use hands on activities to increase their physical skills as well as learning about the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.
